Name:Stephanie Brown
Birthdate:Nov 24
Location:Gotham City, New Jersey, United States of America

Stephanie Brown is from the DC comics universe, and is the property of DC Comics. She appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in [info]milliways_bar, [info]shatterverse, and occasionally [info]mixed_muses, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. The actress representing her in any icons not taken direct from comic books is usually Blake Lively pre-nose-job, anyway.

Steph is sixteen, with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She's lean and muscular, with the ridiculously super-athletic build of a non-powered human who spends their nights running around rooftops in a cape, and she's an excellent hand-to-hand fighter and acrobat.

She's rash and occasionally thoughtless, and apt to allow her emotions to get the better of her. She's also dead a victim of torture, and rather nastily so: her face and body are heavily scarred in ritualistic patterns. Some of the ones on her body are really nasty-looking - since her killer used a chainsaw, a scalpel, and a power drill, among other things.

(As an example, the men in this picture are the ones that her killer liked.)

Steph always wears long sleeves and long pants. If she isn't, it'll be noted, because the scars are something even the most short-sighted pup would spot if they're not covered. Jeans are favourite. She usually wears her split-toed Robin boots. She doesn't carry weapons or wear her utility belt all the time any more - only when she's on duty for Security.

She's also in possession of a flying skateboard, thanks to a wizard, and it's her Favourite Thing Ever. It's a purple-and-black carpet that folds up small enough to fit in her back pocket but stiffens like a skateboard when shaken out.

She does not age. She has been sixteen for nearly six years. As of July 2011, the timeline in which she was killed by Black Mask no longer exists, and instead she was rescued at the last minute by a team from Milliways.

Currently she is reconciling never-having-died with having six years' worth of memory of being dead. It is a confusing time.

Canon-wise, she is currently in the middle of her year living in Kenya with Leslie Thompkins. We will see how that pans out.

Steph has collected a few scars, but nothing like the network MilliSteph has. She's muscled and compact, and has a tougher glint in her eye than most cheerleaders, but otherwise she's just an ordinary-looking blonde woman with blue eyes and a cheeky, cheerful grin.

She's a skilled vigilante, in the style of (and trained by) Batman and Robin; she has a solid grounding in gymnastics and the expertise of years on the streets and training in the Batcave. She doesn't have the brilliance of Tim Drake or the grace of Dick Grayson or the street meanness of Jason Todd, but she brings her own attitude and energy to the Cave, and even if she'll never be as good as they were, she tries hard enough for them all.

Steph was pulled into [info]street_eden from the night after Tim Drake's sixteenth birthday party; she was sixteen herself, close to seventen. There she met travellers from other worlds and learned that not only does the multiverse exist, it's far weirder than anyone in her own home even knows -- and it's whimsical and cruel, and prone to flipping people between worlds apparently randomly.

Eden was a single street that was occasionally attacked by ravening creatures, on a world that as far as they could determine had been an Earth. They could never get out of the street, and there was nothing, ever, to do. The months Steph spent there she spent training with Cassandra Cain and Sokka, watching the Tim-who-was-there turn slowly darker and more frightening, and struggling desperately to figure out what the hell was going on.

When the light and the noise came and she found herself on the world of [info]shatterverse, Steph had very few regrets. And those that she did have vanished upon finding that her closest friends from Eden had also come through to this world.

She is almost twenty-one now, as far as she can figure; they lost all track of months and days in Eden, but she knows it's been well over two years since she left Gotham. This version of Steph has far fewer scars than Milliways!Steph, and is, obviously, alive. She considers it her job to keep the farm's occupants smiling and very rarely allows herself to be otherwise -- only in front of those she trusts and loves.

She's taken a job in the Smallville bar in order to not be sponging entirely off Lucy and the farm, and cooks meals most nights if the kitchen's free. She's usually in casual, comfortable and easy-to-move-in clothes, with a batarang or two tucked away on her body.

mixed muses:

Steph will be arriving from whenever and wherever. Same basic deal: teenager, blonde, muscular, scarred. Whereabouts in canon she's coming from will hopefully be indicated in her posts or by her narrative, and if it isn't, yell at me!

Most of the time I'd probably be playing her as per Millicanon. But with luck, every post should clarify. If not, ping/email/comment and let me know!

I study part-time and work full-time, which means these days my RP hours are very, very few. Please feel free to leave a comment on any entry or email me if you need to get in touch!
