Suite 138: Conversations

Steph's sprawled on the couch, watching Wendy the Werewolf Stalker - old episodes, but they're always good for a re-run. There is popcorn nearby. Also, chocolate.

And the door's invitingly open, spilling sound and light into the corridor. Stop by, if you're passing. Her flatmate's randomly vanished, and she could always use company.

Steph catches it out of the air and eats it, grinning. "Decorate! I've never owned so much room before, it's awesome. One of the things I guess I missed by dying young - and then Milliways provides it." She beams. "This place rocks."

Another chocolate goes flying back towards him. What, they need reasons?

He grins and catches it and devours it.

"Sounds like a plan. You going to go with some thing classic, or a whole new style?"

He fields a chocolate and tosses it longhand at her.

"Well, classic for us is, y'know, stalactites and chasms and bats ... which is tempting, but I'm thinking of something a little easier to live with." She grins. "I better check with Ed before I do anything too drastic, though. He's gotta live here too."

The chocolate lands briefly in her hand and then goes zooming back.

he chuckles.

"The Batflat?"

Then he ducks, reaches up and grabs the chcolate and tosses it back with spin. And munches another while he is at it.

"...dude. That's it!" Steph grabs the chocolate and disappears into her room briefly, reappearing with paper and pen in her hands and the chocolate in her mouth. "I hereby name this room The Batflat! You any good at making signs?"

Because a name isn't a name unless it's sticky-taped to the door, of course.

he snickers.

"Um...I can try?"

he grins.

"We need bats drawn on it." Steph arranges herself by the coffee table and writes "THE BATFLAT" in big letters. "PINK bats." She grins and pushes the coloured pens towards him. "How're you at bats?"

He chuckles.

"I think I can manage....pink bats?"

he snickers dieing.

"Dude! Bats would so totally kill you."

"He'll NEVER KNOW." Steph laughs, colouring the letters in carefully and adding flourishes. "I think his life would be improved with a bit of pink, anyway." Purple flourishes.

Billy eyes her and just snickers a lot.

He draws the bats and the careful drawsing show up almost pefect. iot takes awhile to get them right, but he has fun doing it.

"How's that? Four good?"

"Awesome." Steph is impressed at his work. "You totally just appointed yourself to Official BatFlat Artist." She beams. "Now we stick it up on the door, and then we ought to crack champagne on it - only I'd have to clean that up, so maybe not."

He laughs.

"Do you have ducttape? For the sign"

He eyes her.

"Besides the champaign would mess up the sign."

"Good point." Steph nods wisely. "And we don't wanna waste all that work." She bounces up and rummages in a kitchen drawer, eventually producing a roll of duct tape. "Bingo!" It comes flying across the room. "Here ya go, official artist. We ought to make it artistically wonky."

"Groovy!"

He catches the tape and goes to tape it up on the outside of her suite Door. He deliberately makes it crooked and slightly offcenter. he eyes it and grins.

"Cool."

He send the ducttape flying back at her then.

"Offical Batflat Sign attached !"

"Rock on!" Steph beams. "Dude, you can come visit any time. You have the best ideas."

He chuckles.

"Thank you!"

He bows to her.

"You going to have a homebreaking party?"

"Course." Steph grins. "Although I've only ever heard of it as a housewarming party. ...in this case, y'know, housebreaking might be more appropriate." Cheerful smile. "As soon as Ed gets back from wherever he's gone we'll organise it."

He grins.

"Grooovy! I hope the new place really rocks for you!"

He bounces.

"I should leave you to your uberdigs. BUt remember all us peons when you are luxuriating up here."

he grins at her.

"Hey, you're welcome any time." Steph gives him a cheery smile. "Specially if you're in the mood for a party. See you round, okay?"

"Be good and have a good time!"

he ducks out and heads towards his room.
