Steph's curled up on the couch, wearing pyjama pants, socks and a t-shirt that definitely doesn't belong to her, and watching Star Wars again.

No, she's not missing Billy at all. It's just ...

It's boring without him here, okay!

"Yeah, kind of." Steph drags him back over to the couch, or tries to. "Except you just watch, you can't do stuff, except some stuff."

... She has no idea really.

"This is a movie Billy showed me. 'S called Star Wars. Look, see the little people on the screen?"

Ed lets himself be dragged to the couch, but ends up getting up and shoving his face right near the screen. Uh, right, Ed.

"Yeah, I see 'em," he says, squinting.

Steph rolls her eyes. "You can see them from back here, too, and your eyes won't hurt that way."

Ed backs up again, taking a seat finally.

Steph throws a pillow at him. A little harder than entirely necessary.

"So, the blonde whingey one, that's Luke, and the rebel-looking one is Han, and the old man's - uh, I forget, but he dies soon anyway."

Ed blinks.

"That one looks familiar," he says, pointing. "Why?"

"Billy says he comes in the bar sometimes," Steph says. "It's a movie about bar people. That's why it's cool!"

"Whaaat."

Ed looks suspicious of this. Very suspicious.

Steph raises both eyebrows at him this time. Two for the price of one!

"What, whaaaat?"

"How is it about people in the bar?"

"They made a movie about them," Steph says, in a duh tone of voice. "Apparently Wes is in it too. I haven't seen him, though."

Ed frowns, and sinks into the couch.

"I'm confused," he announces, finally.

Sheesh.

"And sick," Steph says, climbing over the back of the couch to curl up on the other end.

"...I told you so."

"Yeah, yeah," Ed says, dismissively. "I get it."

Steph grins and pokes him with a foot. "So. I'll get to see you more often, then. Since you'll be here and resting where I can keep an eye on you."

"...I've gotta go out sometime," Ed points out. "I can't just disappear on them."

"Time's not supposed to pass out there," Steph objects. "And you can, too. You're sick, you're allowed."

"Oh, man. I suppose Roy'll want to visit you up here." She makes a faaace.

"Time does pass out there," Ed insists. "It's done it to me before!"

He pauses over the last statement. Uh.

"...maybe."

"Well - you still can't go out there doing stuff while you're sick, so it doesn't matter anyway."

Beat.

"But I'll let you go down to the bar to visit him. Cos I'm so not playing hostess."

"Can I at least let them know I'll be away for awhile?"

Man, she's protective. He's not complaining much, though.

"And I'm going to the bar, anyway!"

"I suppose I'll want you out of the flat sometimes, so you may," she decides, grinning. "You have permission."

She's possibly mocking herself. But more likely she's mocking him. This is STEPH, after all.

"What, you'll get tired of me?" Ed sticks his tongue out at her. "I'll kick you if you do."

"I might just want private time!"

She is wearing Billy's shirt. You can tell, 'cos it doesn't fit her, and also, it DOESN'T HAVE GREAT FROG ON IT. Not that that's got any relevance to the statement, OF COURSE.

Ed rolls his eyes.
