"Yes," Ed says, making a face at her again. "That's why I'm admitting it! They told me."

"Good. Right." She stares at him, and then marches him into his room. "Lie down. And tell me what's wrong. RIGHT NOW."

"I'm not lying down!" Ed says stubbornly, putting his hands on his hips. "I've done enough of that lately!"

"They," Ed says, narrowing his eyes at her, "Don't Exist."

She can't pull that one on him again!

"They don't call mono the kissing disease for nothing, Hephzibah," Steph says gleefully.

She's sorry he's sick. She really is. But he'd be disappointed in her if she let that stand in the way of teasing the hell out of him!

"In the meantime, you gotta REST."

"You want to get better?" She tilts her head to one side. "I'll lend you movies and stuff. But you gotta rest, or you'll be sick for like, ever."

Steph gestures at the TV, where Luke Skywalker's dodging a remote's bursts. "Movies. .... how have you lived in the Bar this long and not know what movies are, Hep?"

Ed blinks, and stares at it.

"I thought that was just a noisebox!"

He never stops giving her new reasons to smirk, this boy.
